Minnieville Animal Hospital is a full-service animal hospital and welcomes both emergency treatment cases as well as pet patients in need of routine medical, surgical, and dental care.     Lori Greenwood
    Owner/Veterinarian

    Dr. Lori Greenwood grew up in northern Virginia where, as a teenager, she worked as a manager, technician, and receptionist at Minnieville Animal Hospital. She received a bachelor’s of science degree in Biology at Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina, where she graduated with foreign language honors in Spanish.

    Megan Johnston
    Veterinarian

    Dr. Megan Johnston originally grew up in Brewster, Massachusetts on beautiful Cape Cod. She moved to Lincoln, Nebraska in 2001 to attend the University of Nebraska where she earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Veterinary Science. She then attended the Iowa State University, College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2009. During her time in veterinary school Dr. Johnston completed externships at the San Francisco Humane Society and at the Refugio de Animales de Heredia, an animal shelter in Costa Rica.Dr. Johnston is a proud United States Marine Corps wife and following veterinary school she has lived in California, Nebraska, North Carolina, and Germany.When Dr. Johnston is not caring for your beloved pets she is relaxing at home with her husband-Ian, son-Owen, and her wonderful dog-Lil’One. She loves traveling, hiking, and drawing.Dr. Johnston’s favorite aspects of veterinary medicine include dermatology and soft tissue surgery cases. She strives to offer the best quality veterinary medicine to all of her patients and she is honored to care for your furry family members!

  • Kelsi Gaskill
    Licensed Veterinary Technician

    Kelsi joined the Minnieville Animal Hospital family in August of 2011. She had a small amount of experience working at another animal hospital's kennel facility as a high schooler. She also has completed a dog behavior/training course. Over the years Kelsi has been with us, she has earned her Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology Degree and will soon become a licensed Veterinary Technician.  She also has two of her own fur babies at home, a 4 year old Jindo named 'Scully' and a 7 year old calico named 'Kitten'.

  • Angela Michael
    Groomer

    Angela joined Minnieville in June of 2020. She grew up in rural Stafford County and was always surrounded by wildlife. She has always loved animals since she was a child and living on a small farm, she's provided a home to many types of animals, and fostered large reptiles until they were placed in forever homes. In 2006 while in high school, she acquired her first job as a dog bather and fell in love with the environment, and she finished grooming school in 2008. She plans to get her certification with the NDGAA to be a Master Groomer and wants to be an instructor in the future. 

    Angela absolutely adores cats and has two of her own named Sage and Tanuki, who she enjoys spending time with while she's at home. 

  • Brianna Hill
    Office Manager

    Brianna joined the Minnieville Animal Hospital Family in February of 2012 due to her love of animals. She started working as a veterinary assistant and quickly moved up the ladder through hard work and growth to become the receptionist manager in 2015. In the fall of 2016, she left to finish her degree of Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Mary Washington. She rejoined our team in May of 2019 and became the office manager in October of 2020. She constantly works hard to ensure that the practice runs smoothly and that the staff, clients, and patients have a safe and happy experience. She has a fur family of her own of 2 cats, Tulip and Pablo, and 2 dogs, Abe and Roxie.

  • Maryela Figueroa
    Receptionist/Veterinary Assistant

    Maryela joined Minnieville Animal Hospital in August of 2018. She was born in Mexico but grew up in California and has loved animals her entire life. She began working as a receptionist in a veterinary office while still in high school; her love and determination followed into her adult career.  Currently, she is attending school online to become an LVT. While home, Maryela loves spending time with her kids as well as her beautiful fur babies; Samus, her lab mix, and Khaleesi, her orange tabby. 

  • Audrey Garvey
    Veterinary Assistant

    Audrey joined our team in 2016 with a strong passion for animals. Growing up with her military family,  she moved to several places around the country and first found her love for animals on the coast of California exploring all the marine life. She has two rescued pups named Biscuit and Vader. Working at Minnieville Animal Hospital, she has been able to continue her passion with animals and hopes to further pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine.

  • Alejandra Lopez
    Receptionist/Veterinary Assistant

    Alejandra has been with the Minnieville family since July of 2015. She loves spending time with animals and was a dedicated volunteer at the PWC animal shelter from 2013 to 2015.  Currently, she is attending Northern Virginia Community College on her path to becoming a Veterinarian. Alejandra is originally from Bolivia, is fluent in English and Spanish, and has her dog Loba and 2 cats, Princess Peach and Diamond, who were all rescues. In her free time, she loves hiking with her fur babies and traveling to other countries.

  • Kevin Coronado
    Veterinary Assistant

    Kevin has been working at Minnieville Animal Hospital since August of 2015, but overall has a total of 6 years experience working with animals. One of his strongest points are working patiently with animals who show fear and aggression. He is determined to help make your fur baby feel safe and comfortable during their visit. His love for animals definitely shows when he is able to befriend a pet that may have had a bad experience in the past at the vet.

  • Leslie Smith
    Receptionist | Veterinary Assistant

    Leslie became a part of the Minnieville Team in October of 2019. With 20 years of experience in the Veterinary field, her knowledge is conducive in every department within our facility. 

    Growing up in an active military family, she traveled frequently to many different places until her her dad retired. Leslie originally was born in Jacksonville Fl; by the age of 14, they moved to Alexandria Va. Animals have always been an immense part of her life. She had a horse of her own named 'King',  who sadly passed away in 2015 at the age of 19. 

    Leslie takes pride in helping save the live's of animals and getting to know all of our wonderful clients including their fur-babies. In her spare time, she enjoys boating activities with her husband, spending time with her children and grand-children, as well as taking walks with her Doberman, Nick. 

  • Laura Anderson
    Veterinary Assistant

    Laura joined Minnieville Animal Hospital in August of 2019 after completing her first internship here for her studies to become a LVT. Born and raised in Northern VA, she is an inborn animal lover who grew up surrounded by animals of all types; mainly because of her desire to bring home any creature she could. She is an advocate for animals and knew at a young age that she wanted to work in the veterinary field helping them. Laura currently has four dogs and two cats of her own that she enjoys having as her fur-babies.
