Meet the friendly staff at Minnieville Animal Hospital!
Dr. Lori Greenwood grew up in northern Virginia where, as a teenager, she worked as a manager, technician, and receptionist at Minnieville Animal Hospital. She received a bachelors of science degree in Biology at Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina, where she graduated with foreign language honors in Spanish.
Dr. Yong Chang attended the Kangwon National University of Veterinary Medicine in South Korea. After he studied in Korea, he finished his training program at the Veterinary Medicine of the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada. He obtained a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree through ECFVG program of AVMA in 2012. Since 2012, he has practiced in Georgia and Northen Virginia. Currently, he is licensed in California, Georgia, and Virginia. His main interest is in internal medicine and urgent care medicine.
Katie became a part of the Minnieville team in June of 2010. She started out as a receptionist and with her dedication to the hospital, she was very happy to take on the management position. Daily, Katie ensures that the practice operations run smoothly, handles inventory, HR management and helps maintain a positive work environment. She takes pride in balancing her 2 children, rescued pup named Blu and her work life. In her down time, she enjoys being outdoors and going on adventures with her kids.
Kelsi joined the Minnieville Animal Hospital family in August of 2011. She had a small amount of experience working at another animal hospital's kennel facility as a high schooler. She also has completed a dog behavior/training course. Over the years Kelsi has been with us, she has earned her Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology Degree and will soon become a licensed Veterinary Technician. She also has two of her own fur babies at home, a 4 year old Jindo named 'Scully' and a 7 year old calico named 'Kitten'.
Brianna joined the Minnieville Animal Hospital Family in February of 2012 due to her love of animals. She started working as both a veterinary assistant and soon became a receptionist as well. After a few years of hard work and growth working in both areas she became the receptionist manager in 2015. In the fall of 2016, she left to finish her degree of Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Mary Washington. She rejoined our team in May of 2019 soon again becoming the receptionist manager. She also has a fur family of her own with 2 cats, Tulip and Pablo, and 2 dogs, Abe and Rox
Maryela is one of our dedicated receptionist and has been with Minnieville since August of 2018.
Alejandra has been with the Minnieville family since July of 2015. She has 3 dogs and 2 kitties that are all rescues. She loves spending time with animals and was a dedicated volunteer at the PWC animal shelter. Currently she is attending community college. Alejandra is originally from Bolivia and is fluent in English and Spanish. She hopes to continue working with animals throughout her life.
Audrey joined our team in 2016 with a strong passion for animals. Growing up with her military family, she moved to several places around the country and first found her love for animals on the coast of California exploring all the marine life. She has two rescued pups named Biscuit and Vader. Working at Minnieville Animal Hospital, she has been able to continue her passion with animals and hopes to further pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine.
Originally from Long Island, New York; Kristi grew up loving animals unconditionally. After moving from New York to Virginia with her now Fiancée, Kristi came to us as a client originally. Even working at other local vet offices Kristi continued to bring her pets to Minnieville Animal Hospital. When the opportunity arose to take a position at her dream job, Kristi took it without hesitation, which also gave her the inspiration to begin her degree in Veterinary technology. Kristi has her own fur family at home which includes four German Shepherds and with her no cat left behind attitude she has rescued and made a home for many special felines!
Meet our groomer, Amanda! She started working with animals in 2014 as a Pet Care Attendant at a boarding facility; since then, she has never left the animal field. For the last four years, Amanda has been dedicated to grooming and enjoys having the opportunity to work patiently with many different breeds of dogs and cats. She is currently enrolled in school to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician, and her goal for the future is to continue grooming while also having the opportunity the be an LVT.
Kevin has been working at Minnieville Animal Hospital since August of 2015, but overall has a total of 6 years experience working with animals. One of his strongest points are working patiently with animals who show fear and aggression. He is determined to help make your fur baby feel safe and comfortable during their visit. His love for animals definitely shows when he is able to befriend a pet that may have had a bad experience in the past at the vet.
Angie joined the Minnieville Team in September of 2019 as one of our dedicated receptionist. Born in Maryland and raised in California, she's always had a substantial love for animals. Outside of her work schedule, Angie treasures spending quality time with her husband, two children, and herd of her own sweet fur-babies. When she has time to spare, she enjoys outdoor activities, crafting, and remodeling.
Leslie became a part of the Minnieville Team in October of 2019. With 20 years of experience in the Veterinary field, her knowledge is conducive in every department within our facility.
Growing up in an active military family, she traveled frequently to many different places until her her dad retired. Leslie originally was born in Jacksonville Fl; by the age of 14, they moved to Alexandria Va. Animals have always been an immense part of her life. She had a horse of her own named 'King', who sadly passed away in 2015 at the age of 19.
Leslie takes pride in helping save the live's of animals and getting to know all of our wonderful clients including their fur-babies. In her spare time, she enjoys boating activities with her husband, spending time with her children and grand-children, as well as taking walks with her Doberman, Nick.
Laura joined Minnieville Animal Hospital in August of 2019 after completing her first internship here for her studies to become a LVT. Born and raised in Northern VA, she is an inborn animal lover who grew up surrounded by animals of all types; mainly because of her desire to bring home any creature she could. She is an advocate for animals and knew at a young age that she wanted to work in the veterinary field helping them. Laura currently has four dogs and two cats of her own that she enjoys having as her fur-babies.
